BIS Classes

All BIS classes are conducted 1-1, or via small seminars. Students meet with each teacher one or more times per week. There is no opportunity to sit in the back of the classroom. Students get to know their teachers and play an active role in the academic process.

BIS models the academic format of Berkeley High. Many BIS students take concurrent courses at Berkeley High that are not available on our campus. BIS students earn the same number of credits each semester as they would at Berkeley High.

BIS students must be able to work independently to be successful. Turning in complete assignments each week, and showing up to class each week are mandatory. Our campus includes open work tables where students may study and get work done.
